The Kiss Diet

Today was my first workshop in uni. At the moment we are doing our documentary module and i'm very excited because i really enjoy documentary, and i did really enjoy the workshop. During the christmas holidays we had to think of two different idea's for a documentary.. my two were "confessions of a Avon girl" were we would look at how different avon girls live their life, what there other careers are and the careers of the office workers too. 

my second one was about how the many shops are going bust, how after many years very popular shops have to shut down after christmas. 

The tutors liked my avon idea and told me to go off and work on the idea a little more. I am so excited!! buzzed that they like it! 

Yesterday i learnt that when you kiss someone you burn 5 calories. now i have to admit i don't know the rules of this fact, like how long for and what kind of kiss. But i told my boyfriend i started this new diet "the kissing diet" to see how much i could loose, he seem quite interested until i told him i'd have to stick too it even if he wasn't around. i also keep eating more biscuits so i have an excuse to kiss him! hahaha, cant see why he will complain. 

I also recently went to the NTA's. People who watched will know what it was like, but i really enjoyed it. I did feel maybe they were a little unorganised when it came to telling the audience on when to applause and when not too. But it was still a really good experience. London was amazing though, love that city! went to a lovely cafe/ tea shop, were i had a lovely hot chocolate and cake! Nearly made it to harrods, but we (me and craig) didn't want to pay £6 for our luggage. I mean £6, just for two bags, its a bit over expensive, even if it is harrods, so we ended up not going! 

Dinner in London was lovely, one thing about me is that i love to cook and eating amazing food. And London is the place for that... and Bahrain (food there is incredibly amazing) We went to a Thai house, and i had a spicey duck stir fry, it was delicious. 

This weekend i am going to craig's hometown 'ull! (hull) as it is his uncle and grandad's birthday, they're all making me go paintballing, i mean me and paintballing do not mix. at all. i will bruise and complain for the whole time, i wont lie i am not looking forward to it, although i have always wanted to goo but just the thought of being shot at scares me, i think my tactic will be pretend to be a monkey and climb the tree's. let hope that works!

The new me.

So today i decided to create a blog. i may not be very interesting, or have much to say. But this is a opportunity to get more creative. I am a student at York St.Johns University studying Film and Television Production. Hopefully most of my blogs will include film and television reviews. that is my aim. But i also want to include snippets of my life, things i found interesting that day or maybe a random boring story about my life. (i do mean boring, so skip that bit if you like) 

I bet your wondering why my blog is called giraffes and orange and everything in-between. Mainly because, i love giraffes, things that are orange and as you guessed things in-between.  

A little bit about me;

I was born in bedford, moved to Cardiff (nickname: the diff) at aged 4, city girl me ;) and lived there since last year when i moved to york for uni. 

Got a BF. he's alright like...think i will keep him for a while :) his name is craig. been together well thats a little complicated, but lets say a year :) he actually is pretty AMAZE. Gets on with everyone, funny, polite and handsome and has the cutest little faces! would not change him for the world!

Got a BFF. Bestest. My one true love. Roisin. She knows me inside out. That is not a good thing ;P we have known each other for about 7 or 8 years now. Been through a lot, who doesn't!! although she is miles away, we talk everyday and she still, everyday she know what colour my nails are (told you, boring!) She will be the one person i know for definite will still drink cocktails with me when im old and grey and we will still laugh at old stories and our life together. 

Got a SISSSTTAAAAA. She is well, my sister. Katie. she is in southampton, doing uni stuff too, but she is the brainy one and studies psychology. She is also one of my best friends, and funny enough we actually get on! i loves her loads!

Got a Brother. James.. he is older than us, he is 35ishh, and works in the film and television industry, always moving about and seeing the world (very jealous) 

Got a JENKA. Joanna, Elan, Nicole, Katie(sister), Alice(myself) These are my girliessss, they are as stated my JENK! met through many different ways but all you need to be know is that they are very important in my life, and they bring me loads of laughter. They are beauties of this world! 

Got a Uni. My uni friends mean the world to me. Laura (who i live with) i don't know anyone who has seen me cry as much as she has! and she will ALWAYS be there when i need a little cry, and a bit of geordie shore ;) (she's from newcastle, not sleeps around and party all night teehee). Brittany and Lisa are my uni girlieess, tuesday consisted of a weekly dinner party around mine (with the girliess) with wine, gossip and FOOD! these mostly end with someone being sick or crying or just dancing to our music loudly. James, who is one of the girls and a best friend. He's brilliant on a night out. top lad!! Tom (who i also live with) is one of the funniest people ever, and the boring random facts i write will be from him, he was wonerfully bad taste in music, and can't stay in the house for more than 3 hours without going mental or having a tea! Sam, who is craigs love affair. and one of my good friends. Our starbucks dates are wonderful! Alex my leeds bitch. all i can say is she is the nicest person, will be there for you in a heart beat, but do not piss her off unless you want a fist fight haha. Michael and Ceri. The power couple. my come dine with me pals. Two beautiful people who are very inspiring and creative people. 

I am pretty sure that everyone i have just named, are my favourite people in the world. But of Course there are my mum and dad. who we call rents. when it comes to parents, they are pretty much da bomb! got them very well trained me and my siblings have! 

That is pretty much the starting point of understanding my life :) may the blogging begin!
